A publicist recently sent me a teeny, tiny vial of the latest beauty elixir to join cult ranking—Rodin Olio Lusso Face Oil—which I vowed not to dip into until the most brutally cold day arrived in New York. Well, I think the past week qualifies. I've been using this precious, aromatic oil (composed of 11 essential botanical juices, including fragrant Indian jasmine and Moroccan argan) since temps dropped below freezing a few days ago, and my complexion has reaped the rewards, remaining smooth and, rather shockingly, glowy in spite of furiously chafing winds. Created by stylist Linda Rodin, the non-greasy mix is, no wonder, a favorite of models backstage and behind-the-scenes on photo shoots. Massage just a few drops into cheeks, and even over lips and lashes for extra conditioning. A little really does go a long way, which helps ease the burn of its lofty $135 price tag.

might i also recommend Kiehl's All-sport "non-freeze" face protector with spf 30 sunscreen - $18.50 - i've been using it obsessively over the past few weeks and it keeps from wind burn and of course sunburn. ~shilps.
Thanks for the reco, Shilps! I'll have to try it out. xx
Okay now you have me wanting to check it out lol. Question though would it be counterproductive on oily skin? Please excuse the retarded question :)
bikini martini, I love that stuff. I used it while on Kilimanjaro this summer and it saved my face.
I also really like Liz Earle Superskin Moisturizer. Just started using in (bc of harsh Chicago winter) and it keeps my skin from cracking. The stuff I was using in November wasn't moisturizing enough once we hit sub-freezing temps!
There is also a new UK brand called evolve beauty and their moisturizers (face and body) are incredible as is the gentle cleansing melt. Reasonably priced too. I use them mixed with Liz Earle when the temps go below 32F.
Minutes into the experiment, I discovered graphic clusters of future age spots dotted along my cheekbones and forehead.

I know people who sail in the virgin islands use this a lot. It helps with wind and sun burn. I plan on trying it when i go snorkeling on my caribbean sailing vacation
