I'm off to France tomorrow for a much-need vacation, so I won't be posting until late June. In the meantime, please check out some of my articles on InStyle.com (all scheduled to go live next week), and stay tuned for some exciting (and hopefully inspired) entries here upon my return.

Fringe Benefits
Last week, a beauty savvy friend of mine mentioned that she had an appointment at Ebenezar Eyelash, a hidden, fourth floor Korea Town salon devoted entirely to lash extensions. Then, on Sunday, while reading The New York Times Style section, I came across an article recommending the space as well. Now, while I happen to remain a Shu Uemura/Soul Lee loyalist on the subject of false, semi-permanent fringe, I will always appreciate and share good find. At Ebenezar's, experts attach individual strands right to your lashline, so they look lush and natural (see image, above right), not reminiscent of a Bellagio waitress. Unlike drugstore strips, they last several weeks (as long as you follow care instructions), and completely eliminate the need for eyeliner or mascara. And, for around $100 (significantly cheaper than high-end salons), you'll have enough leftover for spicy Korean barbeque afterwards.

All That Glitters
The surprise hit at my traditional Indian wedding wasn't my husband's ceremonious arrival on a decorated white horse, but rather the gold and silver bindis I included on a tray in the restrooms. It seems that all my non-South Asian friends wanted a piece of the ol' sparkle spangle action, and clamored for the tiny jewels to jazz up their dresses before cocktail hour was even over. So, imagine my delight when an assortment of Stila's Indian Summer Collection 24 Karat Lip Glosses (at left) landed on my desk yesterday. Their deeply hydrating, vitamin-rich formula is laced with genuine gold flecks (a favorite accessory of any Indian girl) for extra shine and dimension, and each comes in a brush pen applicator that's adorned with a bindi. Slick one of these glorious five shades on your lips, and you'll instantly feel like a Maharani.

Jewel of India
While in Harbour Island over the weekend, I had a chance to visit the Sugar Mill Trading Company, India Hicks' and Linda Griffin's jewel-box of a boutique along the bay. Among the many treasures clustered along their racks (nature-inspired Erica Weiner pendents, bedazzled Sita de Vesci tunics, and itsy Melissa Odabash bikinis, to name a few), was India's private bath and body collection for Crabtree and Evelyn (at left). Inspired by the British expat's casual glam island style, the line includes lotions, hand soaps, bath salts, candles, and room diffusers that each capture the jasmine- and lily-scent wafting through the sweet Bahamian air. The good news? You don't have to travel all the way to Eleuthera to buy your own. Click here to stock up on these luscious hostess gifts for use all summer long.
